It has come to our attention there are increasing numbers of scams circulating. There are fraudsters impersonating The Canadian Council of Churches and sending fake letters indicating that people have been sponsored by the Council, using our letter head and using a false signature of our General Secretary. The Canadian Council of Churches is not a Sponsorship Agreement Holder. We do not sponsor refugees, nor offer immigration assistance or help obtaining any visas.
If you receive a letter indicating you have been sponsored by The Canadian Council of Churchees, or have already been a victim of this scam, please report it to your local police, as well as to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at the link below:
