We are proud to announce that our Associate Secretary for the Commission on Faith & Witness, Dr. Mary Marrocco, has been selected to receive the annual Marjorie MacKinnon award for “Outstanding Effort in the Promotion of Ecumenism” from the Toronto Commandery of the Order of St. Lazarus at their annual general meeting on February 3rd. This also carries a $1500 student award, which will be presented to Maria Simakova, the Coordinator for the Commission on Faith & Witness, and a PhD student at Trinity College in the Toronto School of Theology
The Order of St. Lazarus is an international ecumenical Christian order, with a particular charism for palliative care.
The Marjorie MacKinnon award has been award previously to our General Secretary the Rev. Dr. Karen Hamilton.
