The Canadian Council of Churches is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Victor Goldbloom.Dr. Goldbloom—in addition to his career as a pediatrician, Quebec MNA (including being the first Jewish cabinet minister in Quebec, under Premier Robert Bourassa), and Canada’s Commissioner of Official Languages—was a vital member of the Canadian Interfaith Conversation and the Christian-Jewish Dialogue of Montreal.
