Last week, as part of his visit to Canada, the World Council of Churches General Secretary, the Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay celebrated 80 years of the Council’s life, work, and history, at an event hosted at Trinity College Chapel in Toronto. The General Secretary spoke to the theme, “What gives life to the one ecumenical movement in Canada and the world?”, alongside the Moderator of the United Church in Canada, Rt. Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne, and Transitional Executive Director of KAIROS, Leah Reesor-Keller.
